i admit that i don’t clean my microwave often enough – like never. i do realize that if i just wiped it down immediately following a mess, i wouldn’t need to do steam clean it, but i don’t and this is pretty easy and effective!
all you do is microwave a bowl filled with 1 cup of water and 1-2 tbls of vinegar for 2 mintues. Don’t measure, just guess because it obviously doesn’t matter much.
i ended up doing it twice – it was really dirty! i probably could have done it a 3rd time even!
using 409 would have done the trick just as easily but every time i do that i wonder what will happen to my food the next time i use the microwave! no questions with this formula though!
you can kind of see the ceiling of the microwave but its where i saw the biggest difference.

tip: use a sponge with a scrubbing side; some spots still need a little extra!
