i love mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes on sandwiches so i was pretty sure i’d love this dip! i bought shredded mozzarella where as the picture had fresh mozzarella. since i was making this for a large group i decided to go with the cheaper option. i promise that this did not disappoint!
2nd: put it in the oven at 350 for about 25 minutes. just keep an eye on it and mix it. i ended up adding more cheese after about 15 minutes once i saw how the cheese was melting.
3rd: cut up some french bread
4th: enjoy – so so so good! tons of compliments at the bbq!
the best thing about this is that you can make as much or as little as you need. i’m sure i’ll be making some this week to enjoy all by myself!
update: i just made this again with mostly fresh and a little shredded mozzarella and it turned out juicier. i was able to scoop it with the bread instead of using a spoon. also, it stayed softer long. when i used just shredded mozzarella, it started to harden quickly once it cooled.
